Athens turned into chaos as AEK and PAOK fans clashed in a terrifying manner before tonight’s Greek Cup Final.
Violent riots have marked the final cup between AEK and PAOK before even the fight begins. AEK fans beat up fans of PAOK after they forced them out from their van, then torched the vehicle with Molotov bombs.
According to sources, the wounded are slightly injured and they’ve been transferred to “Evangelismos Ηοspital”.
A new round of riots took place on Kifissias Avenue, near the OAKA Stadium, when a motorised AEK fans’ tour attempted to move to the stage that PAOK fans were on, with the police intervening using chemicals.
A team of AEK fans invaded the “dead zone” of the stadium and clashed with the police forces about an hour before the game started.
Conflicts also occurred earlier outside OAKA’s Gate 3, as there were clashes between fans of AEK and police forces. At the same time, more than five flares were shot from the stands that host PAOK fans.
The fear of mourning victims in the field, during Greek Final Cup game, prevailed among the ranks of Police and football authorities.
