With a stable front against revisionism and by exerting pressure in all international forums, we shall not allow our country to become a rhetorical vehicle in Turkey’s presidential election.

Ankara – as was confirmed by the Biden-Erdogan talks with bilateral relations tattered – will always be viewed as a crucial ally for the West, of which Greece is a part.

In this new multi-polar and fluid world - with a global public health crisis and a leadership change in the US - we must consider Greek-Turkish relations over the long term.

Greece must at once respect our commitments and alliances with countries such as Israel while at the same time contribute to normalisation based on international law and UN involvement,
