The apparent extent of fake COVID-19 vax certificates networks is already alarming. It poses a critical threat that must be confronted before social contacts shift to indoor spaces.

Scientists have warned of the dangers posed by the highly transmissible Delta variant of COVID-19 and they constantly stress the benefits of vaccination for public health and the health of individuals.

The government spokesman has said that nothing has yet been decided. Yet, other countries have already decided to institute mandatory vaccination in the army, most recently the US.

If the percentage of vaccinated people does not increase substantially, then the new measures will not be able to stem the wave of new cases and deaths, even if they are religiously implemented.

Perhaps certain opposition politicians do not realise that the degree of seriousness in their stance today will have an impact on the entire political system in the near future.

Compulsory vaccination produced positive and palpable results in many other countries, such as Italy, where 98 percent of healthcare workers are vaccinated.

Five post-vaccination thrombosis cases in Greece (especially the death of a woman that was deemed the result of a side effect) aggravated existing anxieties about vaccines and their side effects.

'The core issue is that we see that that the public is in a state of fatigue and that we must gradually lift the lockdown in a controlled fashion. We finally have enough tools to do this,' Magiorkinis said.
