What is needed is a national unity of spirit so as to agree to a national strategy which all parties will respect.

The confusion in the commercial and business community of northern Greece is no coincidence and is not baseless.

The agreement recognises that that country is inhabited by Macedonians and not North Macedonians and that they speak Macedonian and not a South Slavic language.

“As President of Bulgaria, I do not agree with the name ‘Northern Macedonia’. There is no such country. That name cannot be adopted. We cannot accept that there is a ‘Macedonian language’," said Rumen Radev.
