A team from the University of Thessaloniki has completed a blueprint for the structural overhaul of the seminary to create living quarters for over 100 students and facilities to host major international conferences.

The petition requested that Muslim prayers and readings from the Quran be allowed in Hagia Sophia, which is now a museum.
